Hello

Just stopped by to say HOWDY!!  I'm relaxing and enjoying natures best down here in Alabama.  OUr friend is a farmer so things are moving kind of slow, but I'm not complaining cause its so peaceful and quiet here.  It's really an awesome feeling to look out and see the beauty of the world and all god created.  

I was trying to upload some pictures but since we are in the middle of nowhere my signal is terrible,  I will add them tomorrow when we get to our next stop on the journey GEORGIA!

Vacation Updates

Hello Friends

I just dropped in to say Hello and thank you all for following me on my little blog.  This week there will be no cards or layouts posted because my hubby and I are on vacation, no kids, no grandkids, no pets, JUST US!! and we are having a ball.  So far we have been to Nashville, and Memphis Tenessee and I can tell you this MEMPHIS ROCKS!!! I actually got to go to Coyote Ugly (LOL) I had a ball!!! I cant wait to get back home and create some layouts form some of my pictures.  Next stop on our journey will be Alabama!  If I can  I will stop by in a few days and share some  more pictures.

Hello Friends!'

My post is very Late and I am sooooo Sorry.  I was running around trying to get ready to go on vacation.  This will be the first long vacation that my husband and I have taken since we had kids ( would have been 28 this year and the youngest is 18).  I was running around making some SPECIAL purchases LOL!

It's a wrap

Today was a very emotional day for me.  Why you ask....Well because my BABY graduated from High School.  It was emotional because he struggled all through high school and was told by a few that he would not make it.  BUT  My GOD is GOOD and by his grace my son is a High School graduate and will enter into college in the fall.

I cried all day; before the ceremony, during the ceremony, after the ceremony and I'm still crying.  But this cry feels so good!  I'm so proud of him, but most importantly he is proud of himself!!!

Oh yea he is also the youngest of four and the last one in the house... so I told my hubby let the games begin LOL!!!!

Show Your Team Colors Challenge

Today is challenge day  and over at Catch The Bug Challenge Blog, and we are celebrating  The 2010 FIFA World Cup Games.  The games are being held in  South Africa, they began yesterday and end on 07/11/2010. The World Cup is only held once every four years and is the world's premier soccer event.

All my children played soccer when they were younger and I really enjoyed watching, so for my design I chose the colors of one of the teams my son played on when he was younger.

My first tutorial

Hello Scrapping and Stamping Friends

Today is my turn to do a tutorial for the Bugaboo Challenge Blog. I chose to share a Ribbon Flower Technique that I found while trolling around on You Tube one day, I love flowers and making them is so much fun ,so I am loving this!! 

Here's what you will need;

a 12 inch strip of ribbon, glue dots and a needle with embroidery floss.

the first thing you need to do is start weaving your needle through the ribbon back and forth, as shown

keep sewing all the way to the end of the ribbon strip

when you have finished sewing all the way to the end you start pulling on the embroidery floss from both ends

pull and pull until the embroidery floss is very tight, then tie a knot

next turn the edges down towards the back and glue them together with a couple of glue dots

cut the strings off, then flatten the flower out a bit. add a button or brad

and here are a few of my finished ribbon flowers!!

Today is New Release Day at Bugaboo Stamps. For today I have created a card using this cute bumble bee and bee hive images. The patterened paper is Basic Grey and the sentiment is from Stampin Up.   Go on over to the Bugaboo Challenge Blog and see what the design team did!

I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend, I know I did !!! I did not do a lot and that was so relaxing. I played around with some new Digi's from BUGABOO STAMPS .

Ok I had some time to get a little caught up today so I decided to post some of my recent layouts.  They are all of my grands Niyah, Dre, and Dion.
