I'm Taking the Plunge

Ok so I am going to "Take the plunge" and try to create a DDA 2010.....I know I am scrap and craft addicted because I didnt even know what a DDA 2010 was, but now that I know I have to try this neat project.  Since I have been playing around with Digital Scrapbooking, I decided to make my project Hybrid, and I won't do a daily journal, it will be a combination of daily/ and or weekly.  I have found some really nice blogs with DDA tips and tricks that I am going t try.

Here is my album cover....The paper, ribbon, tag, and stamp are all Stampin Up and created with  MDS.  The sentiment on the tag is from Karla Dudley  .

Now I have the task of trying to keep up with this and adding pages according to my plan!  TTYL

Trying to get it together

Hello

I have been neglecting my little blog, but I'm trying to get it together.  I have had a lot going on at home, a lot going on at work and a lot going on with my health.  I really need to make some changes (speaking of my health now) and I am not going to wait until the New Year to begin, I am starting now a little bit at a time!  

In addition to all of that I am trying to get my craft swag back on... I have been playing round with Digi layouts.  I will post my forst DIgi layout......Digital is OK, but I still love my hands on with paper, glue, ribbon, embellishments etc.......

I'm Back

Hello Blogging world......I have been away for awhile, it seems after my birthday things just got very crazy (still are sort of) and I had been having a hard time trying to rejuvinate my creative juices.  Well I was blog surfing and I remembered I had joind SCRAPS OF COLOR, well I started trolling through the site and I found a group called Bloggers Block Challenge.  This weeks blog prompt is
"Tell us about  your favorite book or magazine ".    

This is an easy one for me to share......I have become the recent owner of a NOOK

I love this little gadget........You can download  books wirelessly in seconds , it reads like paper with crisp, clear text .  It has extra-long battery life and you can read for days, and it has a feature called LendMe™ that lets you share reading with friends. Go to BARNES and NOBLE play around with one, I'm sure you will love it.

Happy Birthday to me

Yesterday was my birthday and it is different from the previous birthdays because of Facebook. This year, a lot of people gave me Happy birthday greetings in so many different ways. Some are short, some unexpected, some wishing me my dreams come true one day, and some showered me with love.


So here are my own birthday blessings........

Today is another blessing of LOVE

The love from above, unconditional, endless and boundless through eternity. The love from my family and friends whom I may not see from time to time but knowing they will be there for me when the time comes. The love that is in our hearts no matter how busy and occupied we are with our own problems. It is all about love, making the world go around while enjoying the ride through learning more of oneself, gradually learning to love oneself including my imperfections.

Today is another blessing of HOPE

Waking up, a new day, a new hope to conquer. I hope to be a better person, a better spouse, a better parent,  a better employee and a better friend in order to give hope to those who needed it the most. Each time I struggle myself to become a better person, there is hope. It is hope that keeps me going despite all the trials and misfortune that life sometimes throws my way.


Today is another blessing of HEALTH

With good health, it is the most priceless treasure one can possess. When I am healthy, my mind works well and my body too. That goes well with having a healthy emotion, healthy physique and a working brain that is enough to keep up with the new technology.

Having a healthy life is a lot of work. I need to love myself, take care of myself and laugh at myself to keep my health up and at its best.

Today is another blessing of GIVING

While it is my birthday today, it is still better to give than to receive. When my friend greeted me " Happy birthday to you, dear Sis. May all your dreams and wishes come true", I responded that my dream is to see her open her business and become financially secure. That made my birthday different, giving myself to others, to serve with gladness and never expect anything in return. Believe me, it is a wonderful feeling...

Today is another blessing of LAUGHTER

Laughter is the best medicine. I can't live without laughter in my life. It is a break from a hard life, a comfortable life and a lifeless life. With laughter, all the day's hard work will be forgotten. With laughter, all the pain will be covered with a happy face. With laughter all the anger will be replaced with a relaxed body. With laughter in life, I keep my youthfulness and age with grace.

Today I will enjoy my birthday,  because I am content,  because today is another blessing thanks to all of you!

COME BACK!!!

Hello......I have not posted in a while because I seemed to have lost my MOJO !  I have not touched my scrappin toys since July, and this make me soooooo SAD.   DOes this happen to any of you? IF so what do you do to get your creativity flowing again?    I have tried sitting in my space, cleaning my space, organizing my space, but nothing seems to help.  I have been looking at all my favorite blogs and sites for a little inspiration but no such luck.  HELP A SISTAH OUT PLEASE!!!  THANKS


Speaking of trolling....I found a blog called  A 1000 thousand sheets of paper, and AMY the owner is having a blog give awawy and it is AWESOME.  Amy makes cards and  she been keeping track of the number of different sheets of pattern paper that she has cut  for her cards just to see how long it would take to get to 1000.  Well she has reached 1000 sheets and to celebrate she will be giving 5 ramdomly selected people 200 sheets each !

BUT wait thats not all in addition to the paper, she will also throw in some of her favorite stamps!

I'm Back!

Hello Blogging Friends


I took a little break from my blog. I had a great vacation with my hubby and now I am back feeling very creative and can't wait to go cropping with my sistah friends. In the meantime I came home from work last night feeling good! I got some very good news and was listening to one of my favorite songs on the radio and that made me feel even better.......and you all know what we crafty people do when we are feeling good and want to share ? We make something !!!! I used cardboad, distressing Ink, a page from an old book, primas, and an embellishment form We R memory keepers. I took it to work today to hang over my desk!

I included my song too!  I really love this song....I have had some ups and downs but no matter what I know God has my back!!!!
